Easy Life / Marina Maximilian

on

A song for Wednesday by one of my favorite singer/songwriters – Marina Maximilian. She is a Russian-born Israel resident beautiful women with a wonderful voice. She used to have a more silky voice, and I remember a few years ago she got sick and lost her voice for a few months, thinking she will never be able to sing again. However, she made a miraculous recovery and now she sings with a mesmerizing combination of soft and rough vocals.
The lyrics to this song, like lots of her other songs show the deep need for change, to have it easier, but deep love for the current situation, a dilemma.

Easy Life | Marina Maximilian
I wanna make a change

Maybe I work too hard
I’m waiting for this easy life that flows right through my palms

I wanna feel the change
I want it to be rough
I’m aching for this easy life that fits me like a glove
I come
I go
You’re near
I’m bored
you’re sweet
My dear
Redecorating home
Redecorating me
Capturing the moments that associate with free
Suddenly I’m proud
Suddenly you’re in
Baby all your loving now allows me to give in
I climb
I crawl
you’re near
You’re right
We’re fine
My dear
We hear
The birds
Sing clear
I wanna say it all
Maybe I said enough
Addicted to this crazy life that made me soft and tough
I crawl
I go
You’re near
I’m bored
You’re sweet
My dear
We hear
The birds
Sing clear
I wanna make a change
Maybe I work too hard
I’m aching for this easy life that fits me like a glove
