I like looking at creative people’s homes and work space. I adore expressive surroundings. They can be painters, graphic designers, musicians or curators – they are all artists , some say even bloggers.
These are 3 blog/websites that I constantly pay a visit to for updates – they fill my life with creative joy. For a moment I can be apart of their life.
Freunde von Freunden (http://www.freundevonfreunden.com/)
This started as a German only website that photographed and filmed creative people in Germany. Slowly it got bigger and now contributors worldwide are providing beautiful photographs and interviews of creative people around the globe. I visit this website every two days.
The Selby (www.http://theselby.com/)
Todd Selby offers an insider’s view of creative individuals in their personal spaces with an artist’s eye for detail. The Selby began in June 2008 as a website, theselby.com, where Todd posted photo shoots he did of his friends in their homes. Requests quickly began coming in daily from viewers all over the world who wanted their homes to be featured on the site.
Todd does large ad campaign and web project and is a contributor to major magazines.
The Makers Project (http://www.themakersproject.com)
Since 2010 Jennifer Causey visits studios of creative people in Brooklyn, photographs and interviews them about their work and their life. Mostly you find people that love what they do and follow their hearts. Inspiration from Brooklyn.
